We’ve spent many weeks and episodes discussing the neurodiversity movement and the viewpoints, but we also want to spend time to discuss many of the conditions falling under the umbrella of neurodiversity. After examining the foundations of the neurodiversity movement, understanding the various conditions, ranging from autism spectrum condition to dyslexia and dyscalculia is essentially the next series.

We will be covering the disparities and inconsistencies that appear when looking into statistics and studies that relate to the neurodiverse community. In particular, we will be taking a look at some of the discrepancies that pop up when researching autism.

Today we’re going to be looking at the language, terms, and rhetoric related to the neurodiverse community.

While most events, conferences, and celebrations are up in the air, we can’t accurately predict what’s going to happen in 2021, especially for the neurodiversity movement. But what we can do is talk about our plans and goals for Unitopia–and how we plan on creating a stronger movement than the past two years.
