Episode 23 - Our Women, Our Mothers as Silent Achievers
Special Feature in Blessed Memory of my mum, my Sisi of Life: Mrs. Olubunmi Olayinka Okikiola Imoukhuede (nee Olusoga) [1945 - 2020]
Guest: Mrs. Edna Adebowale Akande (nee Adewunmi)
“All that I am, or ever hope to be, I owe to my ‘angel’ Mother” ~ Abraham Lincoln
Sisi: Mrs. Olubunmi Olayinka Okikiola Imoukhuede (nee Olusoga) journeyed this earth between 1945 - 2020 and joined the Saints triumphant on that Blessed Friday May 1, 2020. Our pain and loss of her company amongst us is indeed Heaven’s Gain.
As we prepare for her 1st year memorial in a few days, I could think of no other topic but “Our Women, Our Mothers as Silent Achievers” to celebrate her life, her times and her legacy. No other person could have also been my guest to discuss and do justice to this than my “Aunty Edna” - Mrs. Edna Adebowale Akande (nee Adewunmi) a proud daughter of Arigidi, Ondo State, an erudite Oil & Gas lawyer, an achiever at home, in career and in the service of humanity.
