We’ll see in our passage (Acts 2:1–21) the story of Pentecost when God’s Spirit filled ordinary people and launched an unstoppable movement. Not only will we see how the Holy Spirit empowers ordinary people to do extraordinary things, but we will also see the character and heart of God on display in the way that He sends the HolySpirit. 14 weeks ago, we began studying Galatians in pursuit of making greater sense of faith in Jesus. This Sunday, we come to our final verses, which call us to live cross-centered lives. The picture Paul paints is both liberating and costly. Itcalls us to introspection and sacrificial mission. It calls us to much more than wearing a cross as a piece of jewelry around our necks.
