New City Covenant Church

This fall at New City, we're beginning a journey through Paul's letter to the Ephesians—a letter that gives us a powerful picture of God's purposes for our lives, our church, and our world.

Through Jesus, God is giving us a new identity, a new family, and a new way to live. He is bringing people together into a community that reflects his love and reconciliation. (Ephesians 2:13-22; 3:10)

This is a natural next step in our 2026 Thematic Goal: Rooted and Reaching. As we become deeply rooted in Christ, we grow together as his people and reach our world with his love.

What does it look like to live wisely in today's world?

Every day we make decisions about our relationships, our work, our words, our priorities, and our future. Some choices lead toward flourishing. Others leave us frustrated, wounded, or wondering how we got off course.

This summer, New City will journey through the book of Proverbs in a series called Wise: Learning to Live Well with God.

Together, we will discover that biblical wisdom is far more than knowledge or common sense. Wisdom is learning to see life from God's perspective and responding faithfully to the opportunities and challenges we face every day.

Throughout the summer, we'll explore questions such as:

- Where does true wisdom begin?

- Why do our words carry so much power?

- What is God's purpose for our work?

- How do we navigate conflict and build healthy friendships?

- What does it mean to trust God when the future is unclear?

- How do we grow in humility, generosity, and courage?

- What kind of legacy are we leaving behind?

Each week, a proverb will serve as our guide while stories and teachings from across Scripture help us see God's wisdom lived out in real life.
