Throughout Leviticus, God teaches His people how to draw near to Him.
But in chapter 19, the focus shifts. Now that they belong to God, what should their lives look
like? God calls His people to reflect His holy character by loving in ever-widening circles—first
the neighbor close at hand, then the stranger in their community. Ultimately, we'll see how this
vision of holy love points us to Jesus, who welcomed us when we were far from God.
