Our God is the God of the Seasons. While our lives change through different seasons, he remains the constant, covenant making God. Which season are you in? Which season is our congregations in?

Last Sunday, at our fabulous carol services, we focused on the topic of the joy in the Christmas story and how we can know this in everyday life.

Last week, we had three different people speaking at each meeting on the topic of Advent; they spoke on themes of waiting, repentance and proclamation.

For our One Church Celebration last Sunday, James preached on how God’s blessings are intended to create people with an outward-oriented, missional impulse (Gen.12:1-3). This Psalm includes the Aaronic blessing (Num.6:22-27) but attaches a purpose clause to it (Ps.67:2) that forms a prayer for evangelistic success to the ends of the earth.

Last Sunday, Nick preached on Jonah 4, exploring the scandal of God’s mercy and how it challenges our sense of who deserves compassion. Jonah’s reaction exposes our tendency to limit grace, while God’s sovereignty invites us to live with open-handed mercy and faithful obedience.

Last Sunday, Siji continued our series in Jonah as we looked at Jonah 3:1–10 - Jonah’s second chance, his five-word warning, and Nineveh’s remarkable repentance. We explored how prophecy offers both warning and invitation, how God’s sovereignty strengthens our mission, and why His mercy is reliable but never something to presume upon. This moment in Jonah points forward to God’s wider mission in Christ, extending grace to all nations.
