As a chosen people, Peter reminds the readers and us that if we know who we are then we know how to live. The character of God's kingdom people in any age must be holy.

We are to fear God and respect the king. Honor the position; love and pray for those on the other side. 

Troy Heller, Pastor of Family Ministries, continues the series, Hope In Hardship, looking at 1 Peter 2:4-10. We need to let the words of Christ frame our thoughts, influence our hearts and be the power that propels us rather than the world.  We are a new creation when we accept Christ.
