Finishing the series, Who Do You Say I am, Dr. Tim Johnson looks at the relevance of the Resurrection of Jesus and some of the evidence of His resurrection (Mark 16:1-8). The resurrection of Jesus is the pillar of the Christian faith. There is nothing that He cannot do and that He lives in us which allows us to navigate life's events with hope. 

In this Good Friday message, Dr. Tim Johnson looks at Mark 15:1-20 and the crucifixion of Jesus after being betrayed, disowned and arrested. 

 Continuing the series, Who Do You Say I am, Dr. Tim Johnson looks at the final day of Jesus (Mark 15:1-20). Jesus knew that His death was the plan and it was not a surprise. He suffered the unthinkable so that we could experience what was unreachable. The cross is bad news for each of us as we are confronted with the fact that there is something fundamentally broken inside of us. It is also good news  as it demonstrates that God is willing to do whatever is necessary to fix what sin has broken. 

  Dr. Tim Johnson, Lead Pastor, looks at Mark 14:43-65. God will use the brokeness of the world that is our present address to complete the personal transformation that He has begun. Jesus's immediate desire was to be spared what He knew was coming. However, He also knew that this desire must bow before His ultimate value to spare us. The gospel of escaping our circumstances is rarely the gospel of Jesus Christ. 

  Dr. Tim Johnson, Lead Pastor, looks at 2 Timothy 1:5-7 and the importance of sharing the faith with future generations as we are to be proactive in adding value to those around us and helping to lead them to Christ. Along with member John Liesveld, members representing  Gen Z, Gen Y, Gen X and Boomers share how they have been impacted by people in their life in following Christ and how they themselves are impacting those around them. 

 Dr. Tim Johnson, Lead Pastor, looks at Jesus' praying in Gethsemane (Mark 14:32-42). In the garden, Jesus knew that His immediate desire to be spared, but He bowed before His ultimate value of sparing us. God is working through hard circumstances to transform us. He is with us in the peaks and the valleys. Instead of focusing on the lack, we should give the lack to God and trust Him to provide. 

 Dr. Bret Welstead, Pastor of Worship and Creative Arts, looks at Mark 12:12-26 and the Passover / The Last Supper. When we worship, we rehearse or enact God's story. Not so that we can perform but can be formed. The purposes of the Lord's Supper are:

Memorial - looking  into the past to remember how God has saved us.
Communion - looking at the present to see how we are one in Jesus.
Eucharist - looking into the future with thanksgiving to the return of Jesus.

Dr. Tim Johnson, Lead Pastor, looks at Mark 12:28-34 and the Greatest Commandment.  We are called to love God with all of our heart, soul, mind and strength; the totality of our being. In addition, we are to love our neighbor as ourself as everyone we see is loved by God and is being pursued by Him. There are no other commandments greater than these.

Pastor of  Family Ministries looks at Mark 11:1-33.  Jesus enters Jerusalem being worshipped and then sees what is happening; comfort, status and money were masquerading as worship. We are not to hold on too tight to things that we miss what God really wants for us. 

 Continuing the series, Who Do You Say I Am, Pastor of  Adult Discipleship Brent Watson looks at Mark 10:32-45. Jesus reminds the disciples that greatness in His kingdom is not measured by how many serve or work for you. Rather, who ever wants to be great must be a servant and to be a slave of all.
