God is working to expose & heal systems that crush the poor. He is moving to bring a year of Jubilee, a re-ordering of wrongs and making them right. The widow giving her last two coins in Luke 21:1-5 is often used as an example of generous giving. She is commended for her great generosity out of her great poverty. However, we learn that in context, Jesus is not commending the widow's great sacrifice, he was condemning the religious political system that sacrificed the widow and brought her to the point of such a devastating moment.
