Each of us in this room are on a journey of growing in Faith and trust with our Heavenly Father. I mentioned before, but this journey we are on is not one of destination but one of development or transformation.

He is growing us individually and collectively into His people who are called by His name who represent Him wherever we go.

It is a journey of discovery & intimacy. Of Who He is for us and who we are to Him.

Refuse to settle for a lack of zeal for God.

Refuse to settle for a lack of peace in life.

Refuse to settle for just going through the motions.

Refuse to settle for what this life offers you.

Refuse to settle for a fruitless Christian existence.

Refuse to settle for a life governed by self.

Refuse to settle for anything less than what God has for you.

This is why this message is so important. We cannot boldly approach and intimately relate to the Father until we know and understand the truth I will share with you today. There is a reason many of you struggle to approach God. To be intimate with God. To pursue God. And to RECEIVE from God.

Rom. 5.17 (NKJV) For if by the one man’s offense death reigned through the one, much more those who receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness will reign in life through the One, Jesus Christ.)

1. You receive God’s gift.

2. You open it up.

3. You respond accordingly.

His gift of righteousness is not an excuse for us to sin and get away with it - This gift of righteousness is good tidings of great joy - Don't let things other than truth define your life - It’s truth that makes you free. If you understand the good tidings, it’s great joy. If we’re not having joy, we don’t really understand the good tidings. We’re letting other things determine our lives. We are giving ourselves to a lot of other things - our minds - our emotions - what people say, etc. Sometimes one little thing that an important person says can rock your world because we don't have this established.

Christianity is not about “doing” church, but being the church. Church is not some place to go to just participate in, but it is about being who you are in Christ and thus experiencing His real life in you. Your Christianity is defined by the Christ in you. In other words, you are a Christian 24/7And are called to represent Him to the world in which you live.

The church is meant to be the expression of Christ’s life and power on earth.

Ephesians 4:11And he has appointed some with grace to be apostles, and some with grace to be prophets, and some with grace to be evangelists, and some with grace to be pastors, and some with grace to be teachers. 12 And their calling is to nurture and prepare all the holy believers to do their own works of ministry, and as they do this they will enlarge and build up the body of Christ.

For 14 months we’ve been focusing on the Gospel: who God is to us and who we are to Him. We have learned about the New Man and how we are God’s Beloved. We studied Ephesians and discovered:

We’ve been chosen before the foundation of the world

We’ve been adopted by the Father as His sons and daughters

We’ve been accepted in the beloved

We’ve been redeemed by His blood

We’ve been forgiven

And we’ve received the same Holy Spirit in us that raised Jesus from the dead to live inside of us. And Holy Spirit brings along with Him all his Wisdom, all His revelation, and all His Power.
