After writing this long sentence of thanksgiving to God for all the spiritual gifts God has bestowed upon the Saints, in verses 15-17 Paul describes the purpose of writing this whole letter. He’s so thankful for where there at and the faith they have in Christ and the Love they have for God’s people, and as their Pastor he prays and yearns for them that they would know God better. This word knowledge means to experience. I believe Paul’s prayer was that the Ephesians would experience God in the way He had. It relates to how I think about my kids. I don’t want them just to play church and go through the motions, there is this yearning that they would experience God in ways like I have.

This is what Jesus does. He came to RESTORE to us a new lens so that we might see things the way that He does. What happened to Saul now Paul needs to happen to each of us. And I believe it will happen in many of your lives today!!!

It’s what I like to call - a LENS UPGRADE.

when you get a lens change. You see from a New place. A place of sonship and no longer an orphan mindset.

When Jesus comes, He comes to RESTORE to us a new lens so that we might see things the way that He does. When you think about this term lens please don’t think “eyes” but think about the “heart”. It is through the heart that we SEE!

What happened to Saul now Paul, needs to happen to each of us. And I believe it will happen in many of your lives today!!!

Its a LENS UPGRADE.

Our lenses in life directly affects what we see, how we think, and what we speak. They can either inhibit or accelerate our growth in God, which is why it’s important to constantly be asking God for a lens adjustment or upgrade.

Over the course of our life and relationship with God our lenses are going to change multiple times, causing our minds to be renewed and giving us a new language. This is how the transformation process happens for us in God!

A church that BELIEVES a Radical Gospel of God’s grace and POWER.

A church that is learning how to love each other without hoops or strings.

A church that is known for what we stand for, NOT what we stand against.

We are a church that will CALL YOU up rather than calling you out.

A church that will PREPARE you for God’s call on your life.

A church that will SEND YOU OUT to do what it is you are called to do.

A church that will attempt to always STEER YOU INTO THE LOVING ARMS OF YOUR FATHER.

A church that wholeheartedly believes in building A PEOPLE (HIS people) more than building a ministry.

I believe we all could use a spiritual adjustment at times to help get us realigned with our Heavenly Father and the purpose He has given to us. Because Life has a way of moving us off of the place where we need to be with God. Back to being In Proper Alignment.

Its time, Today, to close the door on 2018. And allow God to mold us, to upgrade us and to pursue us in 2019

We just recently finished a series of messages called The Journey. There were a number of you last week who experienced freedom from discouragement and despair. My hope is that one thing stood out to you - That God is with you every step of the way. Leading, guiding, loving, correcting us as we go. It's a journey of discovery and faith and trust. Discovering Who God is for you and who you are to Him.

Can we all agree, God’s ways are not our ways. I know we know that, but we oftentimes live contrary to that belief. Like we believe God operates and thinks like we do. No, He THINKS differently then us and He SEES differently than us. This is the reason we tend to have a difficulty trusting Him.

There are two unique seasons I have come to encounter. And I see them all throughout the scriptures -

1. The season of His presence/fruitfulness. (a time where He refreshes and renews our souls)

2. The season of His absence/pruning. (where He builds and strengthens our faith)
