In this episode of New Fashioned Conservatives, two semi-involved Wisconsin guys start with Mandela Barnes airing it out on a podcast. Barnes said he had to step in and save Tony Evers from freezing up at press conferences during his first term, and that Evers would not have gotten elected without him on the ticket.
They then cover Democrat Secretary of State candidate JoCasta Zamarripa, who said her number one priority is getting the next governor to sign driver’s licenses for illegal immigrants into law. She hopes that governor is David Crowley.
The Brewers are headed to the World Series. The hosts say Wisconsinites do not need to thank David Crowley for that. They need to thank former State Sen. George Petak, whose deciding vote in the 1990s funded the stadium that kept the team in Milwaukee.

Multiple envelopes containing feces were mailed to Tom Tiffany’s gubernatorial campaign over the summer. Federal investigators used postal barcodes and tracking codes to link the mail to a home in Kewaskum even after the return addresses were cut out. DNA and fingerprint samples have been taken from two people at the address.
They then dig into the story about David Crowley’s wife, Ericka, and her employment at the nonprofit Community Advocates. Milwaukee County distributed tens of millions of dollars in federal rental assistance and other grants to the organization while Crowley served as county executive. The hosts break down why this creates an interesting narrative fight heading into the general election.
The Brewers are rolling in the NLCS, taking a 3-0 lead over the Dodgers and sitting one win from the World Series. Crowley and his circle of influencers have been quick to claim credit, parroting the line that the Brewers are winning because of him.

In this episode of New Fashioned Conservatives, two semi-involved Wisconsin guys briefly mark the 10th anniversary of the world meeting Ken Bone during the Trump versus Hillary debate. The moment still lives rent free in political internet history.
They then cover the Green Party candidate who went off about Palestinians at a gas station and was later arrested. Gov. Tony Evers also draws criticism for continuing to block free money aimed at kids and schools solely because the program is associated with Trump.
The guys dig into Democratic pushback against eliminating the state income tax, arguing that opponents are trying to manufacture a scandal out of a straightforward tax cut idea. For candy, they note that tattoos are apparently no longer allowed in the Kwik Trip parking lot.

In this episode of New Fashioned Conservatives, two semi-involved Wisconsin guys dig into David Crowley’s new Milwaukee County budget. First, forgive the audio issues. Justin was somewhere up the Dells and the connection was rough.
Left-wing outlets are already spinning the budget as a careful, responsible plan. The hosts walk through the actual numbers.
They also note the GOP money advantage in the governor’s race. Tiffany’s side is well ahead on cash, but the guys say the momentum still feels like it is moving our way. Crowley charging a door cover to get into events also comes up, which the hosts treat as a strange look for a candidate running on affordability.
For candy, jingle bells is racist now.

In this episode of New Fashioned Conservatives, two semi-involved Wisconsin guys break down the latest Marquette Law School Poll showing the governor’s race has tightened. David Crowley still leads Tom Tiffany 49-46 among likely voters, but Tiffany picked up ground from the August survey and now sits within the margin of error.
One of the strongest data points for Tiffany is his performance in the BOW counties (Brown, Outagamie, and Winnebago). Those Fox Valley and Green Bay-area counties have long been treated as swing territory, and Tiffany is running well ahead there. The hosts walk through what that regional strength could mean if it holds through November.
For candy, Justin goes off on high school theatre.

In this episode of New Fashioned Conservatives, two semi-involved Wisconsin guys start with the Packers getting blown out and ask the painful question hanging over Green Bay: is the season officially over?
They then rip the Milwaukee mainstream media for some of the more blatant recent examples of hackery. The hosts cover news that Trevor Jung’s campaign is under investigation by the Racine County DA. They also make the case that Jill Underly might be the worst politician in Wisconsin.
Other topics include the State Fair’s new rule requiring "babysitters" for anyone under 17 and a declaration that there is officially no more blackpilling. For candy, they discuss cats going missing in Oconomowoc amid the ongoing TP wars.

In this episode of New Fashioned Conservatives, two semi-involved Wisconsin guys go over what could be either a brilliant marketing move or one of the best political trolls in recent memory: Uline becoming the jersey sponsor for the Milwaukee Bucks this season. The deal has some Democrat Bucks fans threatening a boycott.
They also cover a newly exposed convicted sex offender in Democrat ranks. For candy, they share a non-Wisconsin story they call the funniest gay bar tale they’ve ever heard.

The hosts then turn to UW and what they call an attack on meritocracy, plus Milwaukee politicians doing what they know best with public money: giving themselves raises. For candy, they talk Nerf blasters.

In this episode of New Fashioned Conservatives, two semi-involved Wisconsin guys start with the shocking news that Tom Tiffany’s plane lost power and had to make an emergency landing in Lake Wausau. They also call out leftists who wished the landing had ended far worse.

Additionally, the leftwing media making a hit piece out of the pilot which has nothing to do with the plane crash. They wrap up with the revelation that the woman organizing a fundraiser for child killer Lindsey Clancy is from Oconomowoc, Wisconsin.

They then dig into a round of legislative opposition research, including Ryan Spaude touting something he voted against, David Crowley lobbying for taxpayer money tied to illegal immigrants, accusations of carpetbagging, campaigning on public time, and out-of-state dollars flowing into races.
For candy, they react to the news that Wisconsin apparently has boa constrictors.
