Pastor Justin Hansen teaches from Acts 26:1-18. Paul defends himself against accusations by giving his testimony of transformation from a persecutor of Christians to a devoted follower of Christ. He recounts how Jesus appeared to him on the road to Damascus, giving him a new mission to spread the message of repentance and forgiveness through Jesus. Paul emphasizes that his actions are in line with the hope and promise given by God, which is the resurrection of the dead. Just as Paul was transformed and given a mission to share the hope of the resurrection, we too are called to embrace this hope and actively share it with those around us.

Acts 25 illustrates Paul’s legal struggle as he faces unjust accusations and political maneuvering under new Roman Governor Festus and King Herod Agrippa II. Despite being imprisoned for two years and facing complex legal challenges, Paul confidently appeals to Caesar, demonstrating his trust in God’s justice and sovereignty. This passage encourages us to remain steadfast in our faith and trust in God’s plan, even when facing unfair circumstances. Like Paul, we can find strength in our convictions and seek God’s guidance as we navigate our own trials, knowing that He is in control and will ultimately work things out for our good.

Pastor Justin Hansen goes through Acts 24. Acts 24 recounts Paul's trial before the Roman governor Felix. Paul defends himself against accusations from Jewish leaders, arguing that he has not broken any laws. Felix delays a verdict, hoping for a bribe, and keeps Paul in custody. During this time, Paul shares his faith with Felix and his wife, Drusilla. This chapter reminds us to remain steadfast and faithful in challenging situations, using every opportunity to witness to others and uphold our integrity, even when justice seems delayed.

Our Youth Pastor, Pastor Jonah Stalsberg, teaches on Acts 23. This passage illustrates that God views success differently than we do. In life and in ministry we often define ourselves using subjective criteria of success and that leads to an unbiblical view of what really matters. Instead God values faithfulness and obedience to Him.

Pastor Justin Hansen teaches from Acts 21:37-22:30. Acts 22 centers on the Apostle Paul’s defense before the Jewish crowd and Roman authorities in Jerusalem. Paul recounts his background as a Pharisee, his conversion on the road to Damascus, and his mission to the Gentiles. His mention of God sending him to the Gentiles provokes outrage from the crowd, leading to his violent treatment. However, Paul’s revelation of his Roman citizenship prevents his scourging and underscores his legal rights. In the story of our lives, we are not the main characters; God is. Our experiences, whether challenging or triumphant, are part of His greater narrative to reveal His glory and advance His purposes. As we navigate our own journeys, we are called to trust in His sovereignty and to play our roles in reflecting His power and grace.
