Pastor Justin Hansen jumps back into the book of Acts. Teaching from Acts 12:1-17 verse by verse. Herod kills James and then arrested and imprisoned Peter. The night before Peter was to be executed, an angel helped him escape from prison. Through prayer the gospel continued to move forward.

We had very special guest join us for week 3 of our Family Christmas. She reads "Little Tree and His Wish". We talk about our purpose. As we examine an invitation found in the book of Revelation, we are challenged to be a part of God’s work as instruments of change for the gospel.

This week was our New Heights Kids Service. Pastor Justin talks with the kids. God offers three invitations to every person He created. We are invited to receive Jesus and become a child of God, to abide in Jesus, and to follow Jesus.

This new church gives us an incredible example of what a church is supposed to look like and what a church is supposed to do.

Pastor Justin Hansen continues in the book of Acts, teaching from Acts 11:1-18. Peter is obedient to the Lord, but his brothers grill him over breaking the Church rules. In Peter’s defense before the Church leaders, the Holy Spirit furnishes us with some very practical ways we can use to stay dead center in the middle of God’s will for our lives.

Pastor Justin Hansen continues in the book of Acts, teaching from Acts 10:44-48. A man of God preaches the Word of God so that people can believe in God. The method has not changed. God still uses people to spread the Gospel and bring salvation to the world. However, we cannot preach the Gospel without the power of the Holy Spirit.

Pastor Justin Hansen continues in Acts, teaching from Acts 10:34-43. God kicks open the door to the Gentiles in fantastic fashion here in Acts 10. God gives visions to both Cornelius and Peter in this pivotal chapter in the history of the Church. The Lord gave Peter the Keys to the Kingdom, but before he’s able to open the door to the Gentiles, the Lord needs to strip Peter of prejudice. In this section, Peter presents the gospel in 3 movements: the life and ministry of Jesus, crucifixion and resurrection, and the promise of salvation to all.

This story about Cornelius and Peter has so much to say about the racism that is still very much present in our world today. They have a lot to say about our natural tendency to think of other ethnic groups besides our own as unclean and common and corrupt. They have a lot to say about world missions and our commitment as evangelical Christians to take the gospel of Christ to every ethnic group in the world so that people may be saved from the coming wrath of God.
