In the bible, James 2:26 says, “Just as the body is dead without breath, so also faith is dead without good works.” If this is true, which it is, then that means, “Faith comes alive with good works!” We’re going to learn why serving and volunteering is essential to the growth of the believer.

God deserves more than I could ever muster up in my life. He is above all I could ask or dream. Even though I fall short of the glory of God, God deserves more of me. We’re going to make some life transforming commitments as we give God our all.

We live in a country that is all about freedom. If that is so, why does the bible say that I can be set free? Free from what? Why does God have to set me free if I live in a country filled with freedom? In order for God to set me free, this tells me that I must be enslaved by something. We’re going to discover that there’s more to freedom than we realize.

The first king of Israel was a man by the name of Saul. Although he was the first king of Israel and was promising, he struggled between pleasing God and pleasing people. We’re going to learn from Saul’s life how we can live to please God, while at the same time influence those around us for the glory of God.

God has empowered us not to live the “good life” but to live the “better life.” 1 Peter 1:13 says, “Therefore, prepare your minds for action, keep sober in spirit, fix your hope completely on the grace to be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ.”When we set our hope on God’s grace, it causes us to see that our lives are heading towards purpose and promise.

When we pray the right way, our life becomes more enjoyable, refreshing, filled with purpose and mission. In John 17, Jesus prays His longest recorded prayer that we can learn from and what the consequences are when we pray in the right way to the right God.
