This Sunday I will do a message focused on "What Difference Does Christmas Really Make?" We trust that God still speaks through the ages and that makes all the difference. Our texts will be Galatians 4:4: "But when the right time came, God sent his Son, born of a woman, subject to the law." and Hebrews 1:1-3: "Long ago God spoke many times and in many ways to our ancestors through the prophets. And now in these final days, he has spoken to us through his Son. God promised everything to the Son as an inheritance, and through the Son he created the universe. The Son radiates God’s own glory and expresses the very character of God, and he sustains everything by the mighty power of his command. When he had cleansed us from our sins, he sat down in the place of honor at the right hand of the majestic God in heaven."

Last Sunday we focused on "Thanks Living," and this Sunday we'll enter into the season of Advent in preparation for Christmas. We'll look at Galatians 4:4-7 from the Apostle Paul: "But when the right time came, God sent his Son, born of a woman, subject to the law. God sent him to buy freedom for us who were slaves to the law, so that he could adopt us as his very own children. And because we are his children, God has sent the Spirit of his Son into our hearts, prompting us to call out, 'Abba, Father.' Now you are no longer a slave but God’s own child. And since you are his child, God has made you his heir.“ As we look at "What Difference Does Christmas Really Make?" we will focus on how Jesus came "At Just the Right Time.”

This is the final message in our “One Hit Wonders” series – looking at those books of the Bible only one chapter in length. That these short letters are included in the Bible speaks to how important they were to our early church fathers – revealing vital truths about God and critical guidance for us as Christ-followers. This week, we’ll look at the Book of Jude, which was written by the half brother of Jesus. He encourages us to remember the Truth we've been taught already, stay in a process of training for growth in the faith, and to show mercy as we live out the truth of Jesus Christ.
