We're honored to have our founding pastor Dr. Alan Hawkins returns while Paul is spending time with family in Australia. Alan brings a message to remind us to evangelize the church as we simultaneously bring God's truth to those around us. He points to the struggles of the Israelites after the exodus, and compares them to the struggles of the Corinthian church, bringing it all into the modern day and how we can avoid the same mistakes!

Jesus Himself said “Those who are well have no need of a physician, but those who are sick. I came not to call the righteous, but sinners.” It's very easy to let our first impressions or cultural judgements keep us from loving and serving the lost. It is these very people however that evangelism seeks to save the most! Trust in Jesus that His word is good, and that it is for all ears to hear!

We had a great service this past week full of baptisms! We've posted a video of those on our Youtube channel if you'd like to check them out!

The greatest commandments according to Jesus are these: Love The Lord your God with all your heart, soul, mind, and strength, and love your neighbor as yourself. We often think of the parable of The Prodigal Son and shame the elder brother, but aren't we the elder brother? What can we do differently than the brother in the story?

Jesus did not shy away from ministering to sinners. He did not come for the healthy, but the sick after all! Church services are a great place to get saved, but how often do non-believers walk into Sunday morning unprompted? Our ministry is not limited to the four walls of the church building, we can lead people to Jesus anytime and anywhere!

We all eat, we all sit at table with one another, and this is where bonds are forged and relationships strengthened. This is how Jesus chose to minister, this is how the early church held fellowship, and this  is the backbone of every great revival!

Pastor Paul reminds us that Jesus did not just speak to the masses, but held close relationship with His disciples and stayed in homes wherever He went. The early church did not operate once or twice a week, but met with one another and lived together, consistently providing for one another and ministering to each other regularly!

Evangelism is not an act of passivity. It is an invitation to personal discipleship for all! We must guide the lost to Jesus, and we must be present to maintain a Christ-filled relationship with the fellowship of the saints.
