Today Pastor Darren looks at the temptation of Jesus - the 40 days in the wilderness. In biblical times, Israelites hearing of this would immediately relate to the Israel nation spending 40 years wandering in the desert. As they yielded to temptation, Jesus did not. In our day, as you and I yield to temptation, recognize that Jesus did not. Rather, Jesus came to reverse the curse, that is taking our failures (sins) upon Him, and giving us His righteousness.

The most common prayer requests are related to illness. Something is broken - not working well and is in need of repair. And in so many medical ordeals, are found the tired and weary. Like so many that come to Jesus seeking help - confused, helpless and exhausted. Today Pastor Darren speaks about Jesus as Healer, how He has come as the servant of the Lord and reverses the curse upon man.

Today we celebrate God's Presence and Provision for another year of ministry at New Life Community Church. We give God the praise with thankful hearts as we examine God's Faithfulness over the past year. Ever find yourself in a place that you don't want to be? Maybe that place is a financial difficulty, or a social situation, or a medical situation? And when we find ourselves in a situation, we often are tempted to press pause and wait until the situation passes before getting on with our lives. The prophet Jeremiah has different instruction for us when we find ourselves in that difficult situation. A powerful message from Pastor Darren.
