When hearing the voice of the Lord there can be a sense of unbelief. But there is a difference between wanting more evidence and wanting more explanation. What can we learn from Zechariah and Mary about expecting the promises of God?

Jesus says in Luke 7:28 that “among those born of women there is no one greater than John (the Baptist)”. What is it that made John the Baptist so great? One thing that marked his life was humility. Even when he found himself discouraged living in the “already but not yet”, he continued to stay the course and not quit. This is what made him great!
