•Myth Busters – tonight we approach one of the most damaging myths, the myth that keeps young people away from church and has alienated thousands of people from Christ: that Christians are only obsessed with issues like abortion and homosexuality. Again this is not a new myth, because these have not always been issues on the political and cultural forefront, but it has become a pervasive myth. What makes matters worse are the small, yet vocal congregations claiming to be Christians who makes public statements like, “God hates Fags” and are responsible for bombing abortion clinics.

•Myth – this week we are looking at the myth, “Christians are opposed to science and progress.” The idea that Christianity is somehow opposed to science and human progress exists. Yes, there are Christians and Christian groups that oppose theories like evolution, but there are also non-Christians who believe likewise.

•“Christians are Stupid” – tonight we are going to look at the myth that, “Christians are stupid” or “All clever people are Atheists.” This is an all too common myth in our world. The argument goes that the more educated and intellectually developed a person is, the less likely they will be to be Christian. Tonight we’re going to bust this myth.

•“Jesus Didn’t Exist” – today we are looking at a myth that has become less common in the last few years, but is still propagated by opponents of Christianity. The myth is, “that Jesus never really existed.” You may come across (or may have already) people that will try to convince you that there was no Jesus of Nazareth, that Jesus did not walk the earth. They may actually have some decent arguments if you haven’t done the work to refute this claim. So tonight we are going to give you a lot of proof that Jesus did in fact walk this earth.

•“There is no God” – today we are looking at the first and most common myth, “There is no God.” As you do the work of “finding” and share your story with the people in your life some of them may not believe in God as all. They may have questions about how God can exist in the face of human suffering or question why God hasn’t revealed himself to them. Before we address those questions let’s look to the bible, the primary source of our knowledge of God.
