“Sovereign God is at work and has invited me to be a player here in the most important activity in the universe. How can I not fish? How could I refuse that? Why wouldn’t I harness my fear and speak boldly? How can I not speak boldly, if there is a Sovereign God who is active in this world and has invited me to participate with Him?

We have to fish, because the message of salvation is not an intuitive message. The message of salvation is grounded in history, not experience. The message of forgiveness is not a message that you can go sit under a tree and come to all on your own.

Next few weeks we are going to delve into how, the why and the what it looks like, feels like, sounds likeIts Hard, Intimidating and to some offensive. We follow Jesus because we want him to make us something we are Not. His Goal is for us to follow and for us to in the lives of someone else what someone did for us. What someone took the time and did for us.

Finding Friends – today we are going to take a closer look at finding friends. Throughout scripture friendship is valued as much if not more than. That probably has to do with the fact that we choose our friends. Friendships are wonderful but delicate and we often struggle to share our faith with our friends.
