This weekend we kick off the series, "Draft Day," as we look at heroes of the Bible. If you could meet anyone in the Bible who would it be? A good place to look is in Hebrews 11. I encourage you to read it! The stories of the people documented there are great examples of what God says it means to be a hero. Do you know God's plan is for all of us to be heroes in His eyes? Unequivocally yes! With His help we can and will do it!

Today, Michael Erickson will be sharing on the subject of loneliness. We sometimes forget that Jesus is with us through it all. He will be with us at the start of things and the end of things. This is not the end because Jesus will be with us each step of the way! Mike is part of the Pulpit Group.

Today, Omar Marxelly will be sharing on being too comfortable. Many believers refuse to move out of their comfort zones in doing the Lord's work. Therefore, they go through life never knowing their full potential and unknowingly bury their talents. Omar is part of the Pulpit Group, which was formed for the purpose of raising up preachers who will equip God's people to push back the darkness in our world by advancing the Kingdom of God.

Today, Ray Waldren will be sharing on the subject of suffering. Most of us tend to rationalize our suffering as simply a "fact of life." We fail to comprehend the master plan of a loving and caring Father God who loves us just the way we are, but refuses to leave us that way! He will go to extraordinary lengths in order to create in us a heart like that of His Son. Ray, is part of the Pulpit Group, which was formed for the purpose to raise up preachers who will equip God's people to push back the darkness in our world by advancing the Kingdom of God.

Today, Alyssa Fitzgerald will be sharing her heart on how tribulation can lead to an eternal impact. Alyssa experienced a spiritual reawakening in 2011 and has felt the Lord calling her to use her God-given gifts to help advance His Kingdom ever since. Alyssa is part of the New Song pulpit group that is designed to raise up and equip preachers to facilitate the multiplication of the Kingdom.

Last weekend, we kicked off the series, "This is Not the End." You may have seen Hollywood's latest apocalyptic type movie called San Andreas, where an earthquake so large is felt thousands of miles away. One of the lines in the movie is,"It isn't if, but when" the big one will hit California. That often can become the focus of those who study the Bible, "the when." Jesus was and is much more concerned about the what or how we live. Who we are and what we do before the when happens is what brings Thy Kingdom on Earth as it is in Heaven. With God on our side, things are never hopeless or helpless. What are we doing with our time and energy to become resilient, resourceful people to make a difference before "the when" happens?

This morning we have our friend, Leroy Huizenga, joining us! Leroy works for the University of Mary as the chair of the Department of Theology. He is also the Director of the Christian Leadership Center at the University. which develops Christian leadership in young adults, working professionals and religious leaders.

Today is Pentecost Sunday, a very special day in the calendar of the Church. Today we celebrate the day the Holy Spirit was given to the people of God. The day of Pentecost is always celebrated 50 days after Easter Sunday and 10 days after the ascension of Jesus. This day represents not only the Holy Spirit but, the birthplace of the church. Pentecost birthed a movement of people who love Jesus, are empowered by Jesus, and who's mission is spread through the whole world. Today we are going to talk about the wonderful gift we have in the Holy Spirit and how His gifts can give us all we need to live victory and become fishers of men!

Today we welcome Rev. Dr. Leslie Keegel and his wife, Belen, from Sri Lanka. Dr. Keegel has been an ordained minister of the International Foursquare Church since 1981 and is currently serving as president of the church in Sri Lanka. His ministry is made powerful through the free-flow of the Holy Spirit with the operation of the gifts of the Spirit. The fruit of his preaching is plentiful, with many experiencing physical healing, miracles and being set free from bondage. He is a discipler of men and women and has planted many churches. Dr. Keegel is also one of the founders of the Agapao Foundation, whose mission is to be the hands and feet of Jesus to the poor, widows orphans, disabled and victims of war and natural disaster by showing God's love in action through compassion.

This weekend we celebrate mothers! We will look at two of the most famous mothers of all time, Eve and Mary, the mother of Jesus. Their lives are great reminders for us to why mothers are so important and one of the most integral parts of God's creation. Without mothers, the fullness of God's creation would come to an end. The strength and fortitude of women never ceases to amaze me and when we look at the way God created them it's no wonder! We have so many reason to be thankful for our mothers!
