July is here which means a new season of anime is upon us. There's a lot of returning sequels, but we think the real quality lies with the first time airing shows this season. In this episode, we break down what's got us the most hype and some shows we think y'all need to be on.
Reminder, we do now have a patreon so if you enjoy the podcast and want us to continue to make content, consider subscribing.

Summertime Render is one of the pleasant surprises of the year. While it had a little bit of hype coming into the season, it was largely overshadowed by behemoths like SpyxFamily and Kaguya-Sama. In the latest podcast episode, we breakdown why you need to be watching this show. And why Disney sucks.
As usual, to submit any additional topics or questions you'd like us to discuss, check out the socials linked in the Linktree below. Also, consider becoming a patron to support the podcast. It means a lot and helps us continue to make content.

Shield Hero season 2 was one of the most anticipated sequel shows of the past two years. So far, it's had very mixed opinions with most source readers hating it. Why? What went wrong and how did one of 2019's biggest hits fall off so hard? Nate, Eli and guest Troy break it down.
Two episodes in a month, rare, I know. We are likely going to be more releasing shorter more focused episodes more often. Not going to promise weekly, but we will certainly aim there. Focusing on one particular show is probably more interesting to people anyway. Hey, y'all. It's been far too long. Work and PhD applications made it pretty difficult to record an episode, but we finally got a little bit of time to be able to do so. It's that special time of the year when we take a moment to reflect on the anime that have come out in the past year. On the whole, anime has never been better. From slice of life to revenge rape fantasies, 2021 had a little bit of everything. It's become customary for Anime Trending and Crunchyroll to do AOTY lists, so we decided to tackle Anime Trending's list.
