Newark Mayor Ras Baraka has sued interim U.S. Attorney Alina Habba for defamation, false arrest, and malicious prosecution. The case stems from Baraka’s May 9 arrest while attempting to join an oversight tour at a federal immigration detention center. With his gubernatorial campaign underway, Baraka also named Homeland Security agent Ricky Patel in the suit.
