The love of money is the root of all kinds of evil.

As much as physical strength is needed for war and victory should be the desired outcome. Likewise we as believers are strengthened by the Lord and given victory in our spiritual battles.

Part 21 of the Revelation series---The church in Philadelphia is a church that had little strength and Christ opened a door for them. Whether the door was to enter the Kingdom or for them to perform ministry, Jesus was the One who opened the door. --We also notice how God takes persecutors of the church and causes them to come and worship with believers. Only God can do that.--Who belongs to the synagogue of Satan---What does this letter to the church in Philadelphia say to us today-

There was some sound problems during the introduction. Questions were asked to the children about idolatry and why we are supposed to obey God.--God told the nation of Israel not to involve themselves with 9 detestable things the Canaanites did as they entered the promised land.--What are these practices and why are they an abomination in God's site-

God is our protector and He gives us true comfort during our spiritual battles.

The letter to the church in Philadelphia introduces us to more attributes of Christ Jesus, such as- -He is holy and true, -He has the key of David and -He opens and shuts a door and no one can close or open it again.--What does it all mean for us-

-Vanity of vanities- is what Solomon calls all the pleasures of this life. Vanity has 3 meanings in Ecclesiastes. -- First it means -fleeting- - like vapor. -- It also means -meaningless- because the world is cursed. -- The third meaning is connected to all the unanswerable questions in life.--Solomon did an experiment to find out whether the pleasures in life had any meaning. In this message we look at what Solomon did and the conclusion he came to.

Without God's help we would be destroyed by our enemies. With God's help we are able to stand strong.

There was a remnant in Sardis who received the most amazing promises from Christ because they continued steadfast in Christ. Their character resembled that of Christ and they held on to the Gospel.

We all experience spiritual battles. Be encouraged that God is with us in each of our battles and ultimately He will punish our enemies.
