Carter, Sr. (D-LA) announced that Hyundai Steel Company will invest $5.8 billion in a new, next-generation, state-of-the-art electric arc furnace-based steel production facility in Ascension Parish, Louisiana. This project will create approximately 1,300 direct, high-paying jobs, as well as over four thousand indirect jobs. It is also expected to generate revenues of $4.1 billion annually. Also, the House passed Rep. Carter’s "Securing the Cities Improvement Act" to help major urban areas prepare for and respond to terrorist attacks. The congressman joins Newell to talk about it all.
