Sports betting during March Madness is expected to top $3 billion nationwide this year, and Louisiana continues to see major growth in mobile gaming. Online sports betting in Louisiana is one of the fastest-growing segments of gaming in the state. According to state records, more than $355 million in mobile sports bets were placed in Louisiana in February 2024 alone, a 40% increase from the same month last year. Since sports betting was legalized in 2021, the state has collected more than $147 million in tax revenue.
