Market opportunities don’t exist with just a few handful of names, it is filled with so many sectors and industries that shift and cycle according to global dynamics driven by politics, business and social trends.
Value always exists especially when you take a macro approach, because the story to which you align your capital with takes time to be realized. But, if the factors driving that theme is clear, then patience is your friend. With so much uncertainty in the world and the expanding social economic problems, finding solid ground to allocate your capital is necessary. On this episode we dive into things like energy, commodities, infrastructure, tech and precious metals.
When will the market reverse? The exact answer to that can never be answered, but what can be done as an investor is paying attention to the market dynamics which includes variables such as politics, institutional flows, market psychology, and the many economic metrics. Of course though many metrics are put out by the government and serve to mislead or provide simply a narrow indication of what is truly in play, but having the market of investors and consumers conscious of such realities doesn’t appear to benefit the central forces.
Can retail investors in the market withstand what is coming it’s way? Or are we going to see a repeat of 1999...
On this episode we continue to focus our discussions about some of the macro events happening, adding to the context and value to the problems facing younger investors. Moving forward, with so much political and economic uncertainty, the markets will continue to reward those who are patient and stick to their plan, especially when chaos hits the market. With that, we dive into silver’s value and some of the issues plaguing the asset sluggish performance this year
Back with us is Germinal G. Van and on this episode we speculate and dissect the political and economic dynamics of our ecosystems.
We look at capitalist mechanics, political mechanics and cultural/social impacts on the economy. These are themes and issues that will continue to either expand the chaos or regress it and lead to sustainable actions.
We are heading towards some uncertain and problematic outcomes, and taking a step back, having discussions and having a discord is important more than ever.
A year in, as we do a quick reflection” of the past 12 months. And what a crazy place the world has become. Nic and Dan reflect on the changes COVID-19 has forced onto Humanity while highlighting areas of turmoil, chaos and opportunity in the economic, financial and political sphere. The time to be observant and more aware of our surroundings has never been so important. The decisions our leaders have made these past 12 months will affect us for generations.
Its important to look at the world from an objective lenses, while better understanding what direction society is heading. It's also important to continue to pursue the things we love to do, every day. No matter what happens, its better to be prepared than totally shocked for whats ahead in the next 12 months. There's a serious economic storm on the way and now is the time to prepare for it.
Along side us this episode is Leon Abboud, the founder of Worldwide Engineering (@worldwide_engineering). With him, we discuss and blend our two worlds of macro and technology/engineering. If there’s one thing that isn’t changing regardless of the social of economic chaos occurring around the world, it is the development and transition of technology in our reality. Be it AI, drones, driverless cars, quantum computing, Virtual reality and much more. These are big changes that will shape and change the investment landscape as well, so being on top of these trends is important also as an investor.

On this weeks episode, we focus our attention on the retail investorBack with us on this episode as a co-host is Rizwan Memon from Riz International. We break down structurally the market from a retail perspective, looking at the chaos and volatility that has been happening in the last few weeks in the market. This goes perfect with the timing of GameStop showing sign of life again, but to what end?
The retail framework is more susceptible to pain and failure, so learning the dynamics of the market is the only truth and purpose to sustaining ones pursuit in the financial markets. And with a frothy market, comes additional risks where many bag holders will be left when the music chair party ends. The ultimate question remains, when does this retail fiasco come to an end, and at what cost ?
