How can we avoid being a Nimrod?

"Your word is a lamp for my feet, and a light on my path." - Psalm 119:105

If we seek information we turn to Google, and just by typing in a few keywords, we find a plethora of information at our fingertips. What if I told you that we can find more reliable and practical answers than any search engine can provide just by opening God's word?

"Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid." - John 14:27

The last documented words spoken to the full group of disciples before Jesus went to the cross, and words that we can find hope in today. It is not only available in spurts or certain circumstances. It is given to us that we may have peace in all circumstances. 

Finding peace is as simple as seeking God. We need healing, but we cannot lose our sense of peace in the process. The absence of peace may be an indication of where we are seeking the answers, are we going to the true source? 

"The peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus." - Philippians 4:7

The world seems to get darker by the day and we hear of evil running wild so much that we have become what Psychologists call, 'compassion fatigued.' Thank God He doesn't do the same.

"Because of the Lord's great love, we are not consumed, for His compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is Your faithfulness." - Lamentations 3:22-23 

"Nevertheless, I will bring health and healing to it; I will heal my people and will let them enjoy abundant peace and security." - Jeremiah 33:6

During His earthly ministry, Jesus taught others how to love God and to love others. He set the example and everywhere He went He healed. If you need healing today, cry out to Jesus! Whether it be physical, emotional, mental, or spiritual, Jesus has the cure to what is ailing you.

"He was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was on him, and by his wounds we are healed." - Isaiah 53:5

We live in an imperfect, broken, sinful world. No one makes it through unscathed, but there is a source for healing that we can seek and that source is the Savior, Christ Jesus. Seek Him today.

Jesus gave us a "Great Commission" to share the Gospel message with the world. He told us, "Go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age." (Matthew 28:19-20)

We all find our courage tested, life brings disappointments and tragedy. We live in a crazy world and trouble is never too far from the front door.
