Baroness Caroline Cox is a cross-bench member of the British House of Lords. She also is the founder and CEO of an organisation called the Humanitarian Aid Relief Trust (HART). She has campaigned for humanitarian causes, particularly relating to disability. We had the amazing privilege of hosting Baroness Cox at our Sunday Services at Robina.

The earliest symbol for the Christian faith after the Cross was not a fish but a boat. Stu shares the heart and vision of Newlife Uniting Church through the story of Jesus and the Disciples journey from Galilee to Decapolis. From the shores of comfort and safety to the great unknown. The safest place for us to be is in the boat, even in the middle of the storm - where Jesus promises to be with us always - even to the end of the age.

We are in a Spiritual battle, but in Christ we have the victory. Pain, disappointment and suffering may be a chapter in your book, but in Christ and at His elbow, it is not the end of your story.

Eugene Peterson once said "It is impossible to be myself, by myself." Agape love - God's love - can only be expressed within community, because it is a love that puts others ahead of ourselves. We were created for deep community, and it is in community that we experience the fullness of God's love for others and God's love for us.
