Mayor Rhodes-Conway and a representative from Public Health Madison & Dane County meet with the local media to discuss COVID updates and other City issues. Madison’s Recycling Coordinator Bryan Johnson reports on the new Master Recycler Program and explains how to get involved. In addition, Stephen King of the City’s Engineering Division provides an update on the Green Power program, an initiative that trains interns to install and manage solar panel projects. They are not only able to provide City facilities with additional sustainable energy but are also trained for new jobs.

Public Health Madison & Dane County release a comprehensive violence prevention plan that provides a roadmap for collective community action. Public Health officials, the mayor, and community partners talk about the goals of the plan, and the importance to the community.

In recognition of how the COVID-19 landscape has changed since the beginning of the pandemic, Public Health Madison & Dane County is releasing an updated tool for assessing our progress through the pandemic, called Forward Dane: Updating Metrics in Light of Vaccination Progress.

In conjunction with these new metrics, Public Health is issuing Emergency Order #14. The order goes into effect March 10, at 12:01am and will be in effect for 28 days.
