In this week’s edition of the News Man Weekly podcast, Richland Source City Editor Carl Hunnell is joined by Richland County Dog Warden Missy Houghton.

Their discussion revolves all aspects of the operation at the Richland County Dog Warden & Adoption Center, including a recent three-day period when her facility took in 26 dogs -- nine of them puppies abandoned in the woods. Houghton also plays along in a game of "On the Record," including the announcement of what breed of dog she would like to be.

Hunnell is also  joined by executive producer Zac Hiser and video producer Hayden Gray as they riff on the news of the week -- including the city's fifth homicide of 2024 early Sunday morning on South Main Street; the ongoing legal dispute between the City of Mansfield and Page Excavating over the demolition of the former Mansfield YMCA on Park Avenue West; the upcoming opening of Blood Prison at the former Ohio State Reformatory; and the sixth annual Mansfield Arts Festival that took place over the weekend.
