The Marshall Project is a nonpartisan, nonprofit news
organization that seeks to create and sustain a sense
of national urgency about the U.S. criminal justice
system.
Lawrence joins the show to share not just his own
story from serving time as a teen to his rebuilding his
life and making a difference in others life through his
multimedia projects and how well written stories and
credible information about and for incarcerated
individuals can be transformational on so many levels.
This publication is not about Lawrence and his story, it is about shining a
light on our criminal justice system to uncover what needs to be changed for
the betterment of the millions of people whose lives have been ensnared in
the criminal justice system.
