Happy 100th Birthday!
Norman, a Connecticut native, known as the writer, creator, and producer of over
100 shows including hits like All in the Family, The Jeffersons, Maude, One Day
At A Time, Sanford and Son, Diff'rent Strokes and is also a very special friend
and mentor to our co host Lisa Nkonoki!
Joining this week's show to CELEBRATE NORMAN, and show their appreciation
is ONE OF THE STARS OF HIS HIT SHOWS, Good Times, Ms Bernadette
Stanis!
Also joining us will be an Amazing Artist, Community Activist and Entertainment
businessman/self proclaimed Norman fan, Mr Joe Young. Joe is also the CEO of
the recently launched Hartford’s Got Talent!
Norman is the change agent of television, who utilized humor as a tool to
introduce, deal with and highlight important societal issues, as well as historically
changing the visual complexion of Hollywood and television, literally and
figuratively in front of the camera and behind the scenes.
Bernadette who played Thelma on Good Times speaks about the positive impact
that Norman had on her and the world!
Joe Young speaks on his efforts to work alongside Lisa and the importance of
making sure to give Norman his special recognition especially in Hartford, CT
where he graduated from Weaver High School. Norman’s impact on the world
also lends itself to our urban youth, who can look at him as a pillar of goodness
and success that grew up in our community.
