For the past 80 years, Social Security has been a financial rock for retired workers. Today, it's responsible for providing a benefit to almost 46 million retirees each month, with over 15 million of these seniors singlehandedly lifted out of poverty as a result of their payout. The U.S. is seeing a dangerous increase in coronavirus cases in the South and West.As the nation pushes forward with re-opening, half of all states are now averaging more new cases each day than they have in weeks.A fifth of new infections globally are in the U.S.Florida and Texas are setting records for positive tests, and their governors are warning they may need to crack down on people who aren't social distancing.Florida Governor Ron DeSantis acknowledges that increased testing alone can't account for recent record numbers of new COVID-19 cases. He says he'll crack down on businesses that don't follow social distancing guidelines, but adds he won't change the state's reopening plan or enact a state-wide mandatory mask order.With Florida topping 100,000 cases Monday, more younger people are testing positive. Doctors are sounding the alarm."When young people get infected, they go home and they infect their parents," said Dr. Charles Lockwood. "They will kill people by giving vulnerable people the virus."Miami on Monday became the latest city to weigh in on the issue of masks. "We are going to be implementing a 'mask in public' rule. The Mayan calendar came into existence in 1582 and before that various calendars were used. The two most popular calendars at that time were Maya and Julian. However, the Gregorian calendar is used all over the world today. According to experts, this calendar more accurately describes the time taken by the Earth to orbit the Sun, while the Julian and Maya calendars have flaws. Therefore, every year, 11 days went on decreasing. If we look at it accordingly, we are not in 2020 but in 2012. In 2012, the same argument was made when the prediction of the end of the world was proved wrong and it was said that June 21, 2020 would be the last day of the world, but this theory also proved to be wrong. Because we don’t have enough going on in the world right now, a gargantuan plume of dust is currently making its way from the Sahara Desert to the United States. Meteorologists say the phenomenon is not particularly unusual, according to CNN, although it can certainly feel like another sign of the apocalypse in the year of locusts, coronavirus, and murder hornets.According to the Weather Channel, the dust plume will make a 5,000-mile journey across the Atlantic before hitting the Gulf Coast and parts of the Deep South in the United States this week. The plume could bring a hazy quality to the sky in some areas, while the dust particles might affect people with allergies, but other than that, it’s not expected to be hugely disruptive. The most notable thing about the dust plume is what it looks like from space. Hundreds of new homes coming in Royse City northeast of Dallas. Developers have purchased land northeast of Dallas for a new home community with hundreds of houses.Wynne/Jackson has acquired the 182 acres on the south side of Interstate 30 in Royse City. The developer is teaming up with Tucker David Investments to build a 755-home community called Creekshaw.The entry to the community is at FM 35 and Shaw Road. High temperatures can reach into the triple digits in parts of the northern Plains into the beginning of next week as heat builds across the region.An area of high pressure that built over the center of the country to end the week will begin to shift east this weekend, helping to usher in warmer air across the Plains.Heat will build over High Plains on Saturday. High temperatures will range from the upper 80s F to near 100 across eastern Montana and northeast Wyoming into the afternoon. The American multinational retail corporation that operates a chain of hypermarkets, discount department stores, and grocery stores is now testing a self-checkout only structure in a move towards the future of the company.Walmart will be removing the at one of its popular superstores in Fayetteville, Arkansas. The test will see if checkout times are reduced when human interaction is limited, employees will still be on hand to aid customers with issues checking out themselves. If the test generates positive results, Walmart could expand the program to more of its stores.

Roku has added three Blue Ant Media linear channels—Love Nature, Love Nature Español and ZooMoo—to The Roku Channel in the U.S. The deal is part of Roku’s expansion of its free live/linear channel lineup, which now offers more than 100 free channels.
