The Haines Borough Assembly meeting on May 12 will include the first reading of the FY27 budget. Will Steinfeld from The Chilkat Valley News takes us through that process, and outlines what else to expect on Tuesday.

Hundreds of highschoolers from across Southeast Alaska flocked to Ketchikan last month for the annual Region Five Music Festival.
