Hey family, throughout this series we've learned some truths about work. Some of us view work as gross, a necessary evil to be endured. Others view work as God--the thing that we pour ourselves into and get our identify from. The truth is, work is worship, an opportunity to praise God with the gifts he's given us and thank him for the place he's given us to use them. This week we're going to look at another aspect of work that is actually one of the most important commands that God has ever given. That command is to stop work and take a day of rest, or as the Bible calls it, sabbath. The Sabbath is a fundamental part of our lives. It's a reminder of the work that God has already done and a way to hear him amid the hustle and bustle of life.

I hope to see you, and bring a friend! Join us at 10 a.m., 360 Schermerhorn St. Kids Church also starts at 10 for kids ages 5-12. --Edwin

Hey family, last week we started a brand-new series called “Me at Work.” The point of the series to recognize that God has a purpose for whatever work we do in our lives. Over the next few weeks we’ll be talking about some important questions that we need to answer as Christ-followers. Like: What’s the purpose of work? What does work look like when we have bosses who are asking us to compromise our values? How do I work in an environment where I feel mistreated?

So I’m hoping to see you for the rest of this series, I think it’s going to be a life-changing experience. Join us Sunday at 10 a.m., 360 Schermerhorn St. iGnite Kidz for ages 5-12 also starts at 10 a.m.

Hey family: Most of our lives are spent doing some kind of work. Some of us do what we love, and some of us do what we need to do to get by. In either circumstance, we have an opportunity to find great meaning in what we do. Whether we are homemakers, construction workers, sales people, or pastors, God has a purpose for us in the work that he gives us to do. Let’s grow together in how we see what we do at work as an extension of who we are in Christ. Join us Sunday at 10 a.m., 360 Schermerhorn St. Kids Church for ages 5-12 also starts at 10 a.m.

Hey family,

The last time Jesus spoke to his disciples (in Matthew 28:19-20), he instructed them to go out and share the good news with other people. This is something everyone can do, not just pastors or teachers. People need to hear our testimony of how Christ has changed our lives--it will give them hope for the future. This week, our speaker will be Pastor Doug Geeze from the Venture Church Network. He's going to talk about how every one of us is called to encourage others. Please join us Sunday at 10 a.m., 360 Schermerhorn St. --Edwin
