New Orleans Saints training camp is in full swing as they gear up for NFL preseason & we break down the latest Saints news that have come to light over the past week, including the winners & losers from week one of NFL training camp & the Saints players who cracked the list of the NFL’s top 100 players. Players such as Marshon Lattimore, Trey Hendrickson & Jared Cook have been impressive through the first week of Saints camp while Ken Crawley, Latavius Murray & Lil’Jordan Humphrey have struggled during camp thus far. Marshon Lattimore’s performance is no surprise as he is one of the best corners in the NFL, but did he get snubbed off the NFL’s top 100 players list? Jared Cook is Drew Brees’ newest weapon & he has been looking good this offseason. Will he be a legitimate red zone threat for opposing teams in 2019?

Lil’Jordan Humphrey’s draft stock fell after a poor performance at the NFL combine, but he is believed to be a potential steal as an undrafted free agent. However, he has been limited with injuries during camp & hasn’t had the chance to make an impression on coaches this Summer. Will he be able to make the Saints’ final roster? Also, Chat Sports host Carter Bryant breaks down which Saints made the NFL’s top 100 players, including Drew Brees, Michael Thomas, Alvin Kamara & Cameron Jordan. Plus, Carter also weighs in on the Saints team rating on Madden 20. Should they be ranked behind the Philadelphia Eagles & the Dallas Cowboys?

Finally, Drew Brees has been reportedly mentoring Zion Williamson, who was the #1 pick in the 2019 NBA Draft for the New Orleans Pelicans. Who will bring the city of New Orleans more championship titles? Drew Brees or Zion Williamson? In other Saints news, New Orleans has cut QB J.T. Barrett from the Saints roster. Will he make a return to the Saints practice squad? See what Carter Bryant thinks on the latest edition of NFL Daily from Chat Sports!

49ers training camp is in full swing and for players like Jimmy Garoppolo and Nick Bosa, it has been a long time coming. Bosa had his first practice with pads on since last September when he was at Ohio State and impressed 49ers fans by beating longtime tackle Joe Staley several times in drills. Staley and Bosa have a growing friendship in camp, how will it help Bosa’s progression? Jimmy Garoppolo took the field for the first time after suffering a torn ACL last season. Reports are he struggled early in training camp, should Kyle Shanahan and the rest of the 49ers organization be nervous about his early struggles? Garoppolo’s health has been a concern ever since he was traded to the Niners from the New England Patriots, is this a sign that he still isn’t fully healthy?

In the latest edition of 49ers Report, host Thomas Mott breaks down the latest 49ers rumors and news from the early days of training camp.

Jalen Hurd is making both good and bad headlines early in training camp. While the 49ers rookie’s effort has drawn praise, the former Baylor wide receiver has also started two fights so far in training camp. Are there character concerns with the 49ers’ 3rd round pick in the 2019 NFL Draft? The rest of the San Francisco 49ers receiving corps has been a mixed bag. Recently signed free agent and former Philadelphia Eagle Jordan Matthews has been impressing while second-year man Dante Pettis is falling short of expectations. Can Pettis right the ship and can Matthews win the 49ers training camp battle for the final receiver spot?

Solomon Thomas has been largely a disappointment for the 49ers since being drafted third overall in 2017. However, early talk out of camp is saying he has been one of the more impressive players on the 49ers defensive line early on. With players like Bosa and Dee Ford, who was traded from the Kansas City Chiefs this offseason, slated to start, is there a chance Thomas can play himself into more starting time?

Full list of 49ers training camp news & rumors discussed on the show:

Nick Bosa’s progression & relationship with Joe Staley

Jalen Hurd starting two 49ers training camp fights

Solomon Thomas doing well early in training camp

Jimmy Garoppolo struggling during 11-on-11 drills

The overall state of the 49ers wide receiver corps

Jordan Matthews excelling early on

Kansas City Chiefs training camp opened up Tuesday with Chiefs’ rookies, quarterback and players on injured reserve all present. Andy Reid, QB Patrick Mahomes and rookie Mecole Hardman all spoke to the media, but there is one name in particular who everyone is hoping to see at the podium: Tyreek Hill. Will he speak publicly at training camp? NFL Daily host Harrison Graham explores that topic and more on today’s show.

Tyreek Hill has been a major storyline for the Chiefs, but defensive linemen Chris Jones might be a bigger one. Jones is reportedly considering a holdout as he waits for a contract extension. Will he show up? He must report by August 6th to receive an accrued season. Which rookie will have the biggest impact as a rookie? Mecole Hardman’s chances certainly dipped once Tyreek Hill did not get suspended. Safety Juan Thornhill should start and have a major role right away. Khalen Saunders and Darwin Thompson are two other names Harrison says to keep an eye on.

Sammy Watkins has had a few injury-plagued seasons, but is this the year the Chiefs wide receiver puts it all together? Watkins had a great offseason by all accounts and wants to contribute more to the Chiefs passing game. Patrick Mahomes is obviously the Chiefs starting quarterback, but who will be his backup? Will veteran Chad Henne get unseated? Chase Litton and Kyle Shurmur are hoping to have a great training camp and preseason for the Chiefs.

NFL Daily host Harrison Graham can be found on Twitter at https://twitter.com/Harrison1033

Here’s the list of storylines discussed on today’s Chiefs Training Camp Preview:

- Will Chris Jones holdout?

- Will Tyreek Hill speak?

- Biggest Rookie Impact?

- Is this Sammy Watkins year?

- Who will backup Patrick Mahomes?

The San Francisco 49ers report to NFL training camp on July 26th & there are plenty of 49ers rumors & news circulating around the league ahead of camp. Jimmy Garoppolo, Nick Mullens, C.J. Beathard, Nick Bosa, Deebo Samuel & the 49ers defense are the focal points in our top 5 49ers storylines heading into the 2019 NFL season. Jimmy Garoppolo has been injury prone since signing a massive contract with the 49ers. Will 2019 finally be the year that Jimmy Garoppolo stays healthy & lives up to his expectations or will the 49ers have to search for another franchise QB?

Speaking of QBs, there is going to be a heated backup QB battle between Nick Mullens & C.J. Beathard. Both players have had their chance to prove their worth after Jimmy G tore his ACL. Nick Mullens seems to be the favorite after having an impressive finish to the 2018 NFL season. Which QB will win the backup QB spot during the 49ers training camp? Also, the top 2 rookies selected by the 49ers in the 2019 NFL draft have been dealing with injuries that have kept them out of team activities this NFL offseason. Nick Bosa has been nursing a hamstring injury that he suffered at the beginning of rookie camp Bosa is expected to be ready for training camp. Deebo Samuel has a minor hip injury that has held him out of practice over the past month. Both Bosa & Samuel have had injury problems dating back to college & the 49ers are hoping that those problems won’t transition into the next level.

Finally, Chat Sports host Thomas Mott breaks down the 49ers defense & what we can expect from the D this upcoming season. The 49ers secondary was easily the weakest positional group for the 49ers last season. There are questions burning around the DB group & whether or not Richard Sherman will be 100% in 2019. Plus, who will be the CB2 opposite of Sherman? The secondary will have a handful of roster battles to watch for. However, the rest of the 49ers defense will be a bright spot for SF this season. The defensive line has plenty of depth including Nick Bosa, DeForest Buckner & Dee Ford. The 49ers also signed Kwon Alexander during NFL free agency. What are you looking for the most heading into the 49ers 2019 NFL training camp?

Teams are starting to report to NFL training camp this week & there are plenty of NFL rumors & news on potential trades, holdouts & contract extensions for a handful of players this NFL offseason. Some of the most notable players involved in these rumors include Julio Jones, Trent Williams, Michael Thomas, Melvin Gordon, Tom Brady & LeSean McCoy. Julio Jones & Michael Thomas are 2 WRs who are expected to sign long-term contract extensions before the 2019 NFL season. Both players want to be paid at least $20 MM per year which would make them the highest paid WRs in the NFL. Julio Jones’ could agree to a new deal as early as this week, while Michael Thomas & the Saints were reportedly $4 MM apart in their latest contract talks.

Some NFL trade rumors coming to light include Melvin Gordon & Trent Williams who are reportedly holding out of NFL training camp. Melvin Gordon wants a new contract & has reportedly told the Chargers to either sign him or trade him before the season. Will we see a Melvin Gordon trade in the near future? Trent Williams is apparently holding out because he is fed up with the Washington Redskins’ medical staff. Redskins doctors discovered a growth on Williams’ head in 2018 & he had surgery on the growth in February. Williams is not happy with how the Redskins have handled his medical situation & he has reportedly demanded to be traded or released from the organization. Trent Williams is widely considered as a top 5 LT in the NFL & he would be a huge loss for the Redskins’ offensive line. Will the Redskins be forced to trade Trent Williams?

In other NFL rumors, Tom Brady is entering the final year of his contract & the Patriots could extend the 6-time Super Bowl champ at some point in 2019. Brady is 42 years old so the Pats might wait until mid-season to see how Brady is performing to see if they are comfortable signing him for a few more years. LeSean McCoy is another player whose NFL future is in doubt. He did not have a very productive season in Buffalo last year & he could be in danger of being cut by the Bills. The Bills signed T.J. Yeldon & Frank Gore during NFL free agency & they drafted Devin Singletary in the 2019 NFL Draft. Buffalo can save $6 MM by cutting McCoy. Finally, Chat Sports host Thomas Mott discusses the injury bug that has already hit the Atlanta Falcons on their first day of training camp. Safety J.J. Wilcox tore his ACL & defensive end Michael Bennett broke his ankle. How big of an impact will the Falcons injuries have on their defense in 2019? Find out on the latest edition of NFL Daily!

NFL training camps are set to get going next week and the San Francisco 49ers are hoping to take a big jump this season. Which 49ers players are poised to have pro bowl seasons? Jimmy Garoppolo is hoping to bounce back from his ACL injury and have a big season. Could he make his first pro bowl? George Kittle had a monster season in 2018 resulting in his first pro bowl appearance. If he meshes with Garoppolo, he can certainly be back in the pro bowl this season. Chat Sports host Thomas Mott is back with five 49ers players on offense that could make the pro bowl this upcoming season.

Jimmy Garoppolo isn’t the only offensive player looking to take the next step for the 49ers. New starting running back Tevin Coleman is looking for a breakout season. Having spent most of his career as a complimentary RB in Atlanta, Coleman is expected to be the leading rusher for the 49ers. Can Coleman be a pro bowler? Second-year wide receiver Dante Pettis could be a pro bowl candidate after a big finish to his rookie season. Pettis will likely be the top WR in the 49ers offense. Left tackle Joe Staley might be 35 this season but he’s still one of the best offensive linemen in the NFL. Thomas believes Staley might just have one more pro bowl in him.

Mitchell Trubisky is entering his third year with the Chicago Bears and is facing some big expectations. After the infamous “double doink” playoff loss to the Philadelphia Eagles, can Trubisky lead a promising young Bears offense to new heights during the 2019 NFL season. The 2019 NFL Draft saw the Bears add two running backs in Iowa State’s David Montgomery and Florida Atlantic’s Kerrith Whyte. Montgomery will have to battle it out with Tarik Cohen and former Seattle Seahawks running back Mike Davis, who the Bears signed in 2019 NFL Free Agency, for the starting spot, can the rookie win out the Bears training camp battle? Trey Burton hit career high numbers in his first season with the Bears but who will the second and third string tight ends be? Can Adam Shaheen, the Bears’ second round pick in the 2017 NFL Draft, finally live up to the hype or is he going to be beaten out by offensive tackle-turned-tight-end Bradley Sowell?

Riley Ridley was another receiver the Bears added in the NFL Draft to pair with former Jaguars receiver Allen Robinson and Anthony Miller, Chicago’s second-round pick in the 2018 NFL Draft. How will he fit in with the top three set between Robinson, Miller and Taylor Gabriel? Is Anthony Miller primed for a breakout sophomore year after undergoing shoulder surgery and will he be ready in time for the Bears training camp? Cody Whitehair and James Daniels are experimenting on the offensive line, could a position switch be in the cards for the Bears’ offensive line? On today’s edition of NFL Now, host Derek Tate breaks down the projected 2019 Bears depth chart on offense and answers these questions and more.

Today’s 2019 Bears rumors discussed on NFL Now:

Should the Bears add another QB to battle with Chase Daniel

Will David Montgomery be the starting running back for the Bears?

Could Anthony Miller win a training camp battle vs. Allen Robinson?

Kwon Alexander one of the riskiest moves the 49ers made this off season? That’s the word according to the latest San Francisco 49ers News and Rumors. The niners added Alexander during free agency, signing the former Buccaneers linebacker to a four-year, $54 million deal despite him missing 10 games last season with an ACL injury. 49ers Report Thomas Mott weighs the output of Kwon Alexander to the “risk” of signing him to a deal without knowing if he’s truly healthy.

Marquise Goodwin, 49ers wide receiver, brought home $1 million dollars and a W after winning the “40 Yards of Gold” competition. Soon after, Goodwin was “randomly” drug tested by the NFL and many 49ers fans are questioning if it was truly random.

NFL free agency frenzy has passed but that doesn’t mean there aren’t still quality players available to sign. With question marks at the center position due to Weston Richburg’s offseason knee surgery, the 49ers might consider bringing in someone to compete for the back-up role with Ben Garland. Niners secondary ranked dead last in the NFL in 2018, so maybe Tre Boston and Morris Claiborne might be good free agency additions? On today’s episode of 49ers Report, Thomas Mott will give you 3 available free agents that the 49ers could still sign.
