The Extra Points gang is back from vacation, but Martin is still stuck in Vegas. Martin runs down some of his NBA Summer League sightings and explains how to act like you belong courtside.

The guys start with the big NFL headlines that Zach Wilson reportedly slept with his mom’s best friend and if this moves the Jets odds this season. Also Baker Mayfield was traded to the Carolina Panthers, Dave likes this situation for him as the guys discuss if he should start right away. Plus, huge news out of Pittsburgh, Heinz Field is being renamed Acrisure Stadium and Dave is very upset. Martin wants it to be called Rooney World and more importantly reveals he doesn’t eat ketchup. Plus, Sal goes over some fan submitted ideas for new rules that Peter King wrote about in his column.  

Next, it’s back to the NBA as the guys react to the NBA announcing they will give rings to the Summer League champions and the hype around Chet Holmgren’s debut. Martin introduces his ABC’s Anyone But Chet and compares him to Rudy Gobert; plus Martin talks about the player that has impressed him so far; Scottie Pippen Jr.

The guys make their daily picks and with Max Scherzer going up against Max Fried they discuss who is the best Max in all of sports? Finally, they remember two acting greats James Caan and Tony Sirico.
