Cousin Sal and Dave recap a big sports weekend as the NHL playoffs begin with underdogs and road teams winning Game 1. The Penguins lose Game 1 to the Islanders and over confident Dave blames the loss on bad goaltending from Tristan Jarry. The Capitals won Game 1 of their series as Tom Wilson scored the first goal of the playoffs; the guys look at the odds on Monday night’s games (02:00).

The NBA playoffs are now set and Sal regrets not betting a huge 10 team parlay. The guys discuss the Lakers/Warriors line and Lebron saying that Steph is the MVP. Dave thinks it’s unfair that the top seed in the Western Conference will have to play either the Warriors or Lakers; plus is Nikola Jokic not being flashy, hurting his MVP chances (18:00)?

Sal has a small problem with the Basketball Hall of Fame ceremony and has a suggestion to honor Craig Sager and improve the orange jackets (30:30).

Then the guys discuss the Preakness as Rombauer bests Medina Spirit (39:45) and the Crown Royal Athletes of the Week – Sal predicts some big hits from Albert Pujols with the Dodgers and Dave pays homage to Marv Albert (43:30).
