I was extremely bummed after watching the @discovery+ miniseries #fallenidols that presents some pretty horrific allegations about @nickcarter from @backstreetboys, I’ve been a life long backstreet boy fan, and in particular, a fan of Nick. But, I have been burned before when it comes to celebrities turning out to suck, when you have built them up as something else in your mind, and as I watched the alleged victims tell their version of the events, in the 4 part series, that Nick did not take part in, I decided I wanted to cover this on the podcast.  But if Netflix has taught me anything, it’s not to just watch one documentary. So, I dug in and did weeks worth of research.    I started by reading Nicks book that came out in 2013 #facingthemusicandlivingtotalkaboutit , hoping to get a better idea of who he is, or at least how he wanted to come across. I watched the E! Reality show #houseofcarters, I watched countless interviews from the siblings, a very insightful one, was when his younger sister @AngelCharissma did @thesqueeze podcast.  She opened up a lot. And I definitely learned that Nick is not at all, the squeaky clean, romantic that I envisioned growing up, lol. 

I tried to remain as neutral as possible in my telling of the events.   I will go over exactly what the victims had to say, and I will also go over how Nick and his team are responding.  And you can draw your own conclusion.  @costcocostbro sat down for FOUR hours to record this.  So, it is clearly going to be a two parter.  And it’s still going to be crazy long.  (I did do a little bit of old school BSB rap.. and for that I apologize. )

As, I researched this specific topic, I couldn’t help but learn more about Nick, and his life, and family, so this ended up being a few stories wrapped into one. I hope, if you listen, you can go into it without a preconceived notion, and form an opinion once you have more information.  I don’t even know what to call these episodes, because it goes in so many directions.  So I’m just going to call it #NickCarter
