We were gone for a couple of weeks due to a storm passing through and losing power, but we're back! 

This week, Nick and Eli talk about the hurricane, returning to work, and FINAL FANTASY XI! Nick and Eli Talk at You about getting old.  Backaches, neckaches, knees that no longer work, and the problem with cleaning up after your Silkie Chickens.  After reflecting on the fragility of life, they then move on to talk about bone sharks (so cool) and what might happen at the Playstation 5 event.  We miss you, E3!!

Heads up - this episode deals with the death of George Floyd and the overuse of force by the police.

The past week and a half have been a tough one in the United States - Nick and Eli talk directly at you about the killing of George Floyd and the protests, riots, and police brutality that has followed in its wake.  Sometimes it's good to have a serious conversation about the current events and the problems you see in society.  If you haven't seen some of the videos or protests mentioned in the episode, a quick google search will unfortunately produce a lot of content.

Eli might sound a little low in volume at the beginning, as Nick was fiddling with the volume sliders, wondering why he couldn't get more volume.  Looks like the culprit was the laptop volume...bear with Nick as he will one day perfect the audio setup for this podcast.  He can do it!

Nick and Eli talk at you about woodworking as a way of coping with coronavirus, as well as the joys of owning a robotic vacuum.

This week's topic was video games - falling back on the podcasts of old.  

Nick is back in Final Fantasy XIV and loving it, Eli beat Dragon Quest 11 (twice?) and is now terrorizing the beaches as a maneating shark.  Not all is bad, however, as he is also protecting the Earth from aliens in XCOM 2.  Well, almost - he plays one game at a time!  Nick is still contemplating starting a new game of Fallout 3, which would be his first game since playing for an hour in 2008.
