The suspension of disbelief is what we use as audience members to buy into a narrative (i.e. a play or movie). In some ways the suspension of disbelief is also what we use to tell ourselves what we want to believe about the narratives we are living out in our own lives as well. Whether it’s faith or bullshit you rely on, the beliefs we hold on to should help to make us better characters in our own story.

I got to visit my friend’s studio recently for the recording of an episode of his podcast. Being in a radio studio, it occurred to me, being in the right environment has a massive impact on how productive you can are. Listen to me ramble aimlessly while you brush your teeth why don’t ya?
