Then, The plaintiff used to be friends with the defendant. He rented an apartment to the defendant, but he claims she threw wild parties. He’s suing for unpaid rent. The defendant argues the apartment had tons of problems with it and violated city codes. She’s countersuing for emotional distress and hotel expenses.
