When does one become the owner of a fixed property in terms of a divorce settlement agreement? For example, the settlement agreement may provide that within seven days of the grant of a decree of divorce Mr Jones shall cause his half share of 123 -1st Ave, Orange Grove to be transferred to Mrs Jones. The date of acquisition of the half share would be the date of the court order and not the date of the agreement between the parties regarding the transfer of the half share. Upon the granting of the order, Mrs Jones only acquires a personal right to compel transfer to her of Mr Jones’ half share. This right protects her interest in the property against any subsequent claims against Mr Jones’ creditors until it is formally transferred by way of deed of transfer or endorsement into her name.

South Africa is no doubt a country on a precipice. On the economic front, we require change and require it now.
We have received some good news, with reduced unemployment levels.
South Africa's unemployment rate was at 33.9% in the Q2 of 2022, down from 34.5% in the Q1 and a record high of 35.3% in the Q4 of 2021.
If you Google what's a biggest cause of unemployment in South Africa, Google says its lack of education and training. I don’t think this is entirely true, I think its lack of focus on what needs done.

Young girls living in poverty in South Africa have been deprived of their dignity and left vulnerable, exposed and quite literally - bleeding.
The South African Constitution, under section 10 in the Bill of Rights, states that everyone has the inherent right to dignity. Likewise, everyone has the right to have his or her dignity respected and protected. Many scholars refer to the right to human dignity as the ‘cornerstone’ of our Constitution, as it is both a right and a value.
