The urinary system works hard to regulate, manage, and eliminate your urine waste. It includes a number of moving parts, such as your kidneys, ureters, bladder, and the urethra. Like other organs and systems in your body, the urinary system can have problems. These problems, or conditions, are commonly referred to as urologic problems or urologic diseases. Regardless of your age, gender, or ethnicity, you can experience urologic problems. In both men and women, this has a direct effect on the urinary tract and how you expel urine. In men, urologic problems can also affect reproductive organs.

It is that time of the year again where South await the matric results, along with the analysis and the reflection from inside of and outside of the Department of Education.
Some outcomes will be that there needs to be greater investment into Early Childhood Development, a constant need for greater systemic interventions such as teacher development, that we need to relook at issues around curriculum and that the number of matriculants passing STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) subjects are too low.
While these all remain very valid, another perspective is that this cohort of school-leavers has literally lived through a global pandemic.
They have experienced first-hand and from varying perspectives how life can drastically change in an instant. This is an asset as they enter the formal world of work.

Ultimately, the decision to take one's life is a personal choice and something that should not be the responsibility of another. That being said, there are certainly ways to prevent suicide. A few suggestions include educating oneself on warning signs and risk factors, creating a safe space for your loved one to admit their suicidal thoughts, knowing what resources to provide to someone in a crisis, and thinking through alternatives together with the person who is struggling. On a larger scale we can benefit from moving away from toxic positivity, and leaning into difficult conversations about mental health, depression and suicide. **Toxic positivity involves dismissing negative emotions and responding to distress with false reassurances rather than empathy. It comes from feeling uncomfortable with negative emotions. It is often well-intentioned but can cause alienation and a feeling of disconnection.

It is inevitable that most students will at one time or another fail an academic or work course exam. The feelings which result are often devastating. Often, the failure is not the result of lack of studying and preparation although often lack of commitment may be the primary factor in failure.
Feelings of shame and guilt often arise from failure at any task. Self-esteem takes a big negative hit, especially if one has been working hard at preparation for the exam or task in question. Very few people come out of exam failure unscathed by some negative feelings.
Just as in grief over significant loss, most people go through a series of emotions after their failure.
