Nightfall Horrors

What is REALLY going on in California? From the foggy peaks of the Santa Lucia Mountains to the pitch-black depths of Lake Tahoe, California has a monster problem that goes way deeper than I thought possible. In the debut episode of my new cryptid series, we are diving into 5 of the most bizarre, terrifying, and historically documented creatures hiding in the Golden State.

I’ve always been obsessed with weird history and cryptozoology, but I chose to start this series in California for a very specific reason: the geographic diversity here is absolutely insane. You have dense redwood forests where you can’t see ten feet ahead, scorching deserts that warp your reality, and isolated mountain ranges where people are reported to vanish for days. Its the ultimate breeding ground for the unexplained. Plus, unlike a lot of campfire myths, some of these California legends actually have a paper trail, including mentions by legendary authors like John Steinbeck.

Timestamps:

00:00 - The Dark Watchers (The 13,000-Year-Old Shadow Figures)

07:32 - Tahoe Tessie (The Prehistoric 60-MPH Lake Monster)

16:42 - The Riverside Monster (The 1958 Car Attack)

23:49 - Bigfoot & The Patterson-Gimlin Film (The 1967 Mystery)

32:46 - The Fresno Nightcrawlers (Literally Just Moving Legs)

Which of these California cryptids creeps you out the most? Let me know in the comments below! Don't forget to like and subscribe so you don't miss the next stop on this weird American road trip of cryptids.

Some patterns are too concise to ignore. In this video, I'm covering three incredibly unsettling cases where brilliant minds were never seen from again. I'm talking about men operating at the absolute peak of their fields that faced sudden and catastrophic ends. This video took much longer to put out because of the research and the editing. If you appreciate independent, high-effort investigative content, please consider hitting the Like button and Subscribing to the channel, it genuinely helps a lot.

What do you think really happened in these cases? Let me know your theories in the comments section below. I read all the comments and want to know.

In this video I cover 3 times that travel vloggers accidentally filmed something disturbing and horrifying. I cover Logan Paul's Aokigahara Forest incident, the time that the Bethunes caught Gabby Petito's van as they passed through Wyoming, and the time Sarah Funk unknowingly filmed evidence of bodies being hidden in Mitsero Red Lake in New York. All of these vloggers were just minding their own business (except for Logan Paul) and ended up filming something that would change the way the rest of the world viewed investigations.

This one is a bit late because I edited the video myself. I'm learning about visuals, pacing, lighting, and all sorts of stuff about being on camera and making transitions and stuff while using relevant b roll. I also spent a lot of time on the sound design and the "look" of the video after researching the topics. Please let me know how I'm doing by leaving a comment.

Chapters:

00:00 - Intro

00:32 - Logan Paul in the Aokigahara Forest

05:18 - They found Gabby Petito's van

10:34 - The murder suitcases

Music sourced from Artlist and visuals sourced from The Sun, ABC News, The Bethune Family YouTube channel, and the Penguinz0 YouTube channel. Thanks for watching.

In this video, I show you three encounters that are a combination of psychology, perception, and something much harder to explain.

A couple experiences the same terrifying night, but walks away with completely different realities.A driver witnesses a n orb hovering over a highway… and later loses hours of their life with no explanation. And a teenager steps onto his balcony for dinner… only to lose 18 hours that, somehow, still happened without him.

I kept coming back to one thing while putting this together: none of these people agree on what they experienced, even when they were in the exact same moment. And that might be the most unsettling part.

Are these neurological events?

Sleep paralysis?

Memory errors?

Or something that doesn’t fully fit into any of those categories?

Chapters:

00:00 - Story 1 Secret Visions

10:20 - Story 2 The Orb

17:17 - Story 3 Did He Teleport?

If you’ve ever had an experience you couldn’t fully explain, you’ll probably find something in this video that feels relatable. Let me know what you think actually happened in each case. I read all the comments.

The world can change in an instant. One minute, you’re doing something routine, visiting family, babysitting, or just heading home, and the next, you’ve stepped into a mystery that spans decades. Today, you and I looking into three chilling cases of young women who disappeared under some of the strangest circumstances imaginable.

Chapters:

0:00 - Intro

0:38 - Karlie Guse

07:24 - Tina Lim Xin Ying

17:57 - Evelyn Hartley

25:14 - Closing thoughts and community discussion

Case Summaries:

Karlie Guse (2018): 16-year-old Karlie Guse vanished from her home in Mono County, California, after a night of distress. Despite multiple sightings of her walking near Highway 6 early in the morning, barefoot and disoriented, she was never seen again. Was it the harsh desert landscape, or did she get into the wrong car?

Tina Lim Xin Ying (2002): In the bustling city of Singapore, 14 year old Tina left her flat for a short commute to her grandfather's. She never arrived. Over a year later, during her grandfather's wake, a mysterious caller claimed to be her, saying she was being kept in a "dark place."

Evelyn Hartley (1953): A classic "stranger in the house" nightmare. Evelyn was babysitting in La Crosse, Wisconsin, when her father found an open basement window and blood at the scene. This case changed the way parents viewed safety in the 1950s forever.

Let’s Talk in the Comments:

Cases like these are heavy, and they remind us how important it is to keep these stories alive.

In the Karlie Guse case, do you think the "witness sightings" were actually her, or could they have been a red herring?

The Tina Lim phone calls, do you believe it was really her, or a cruel hoax?

If you have any information regarding these cases, please contact the relevant authorities listed in the source links below.
