Over the weekend, the Trump Administration imposed tariffs on America’s three biggest trading partners: Canada, Mexico, and China. Trump is slapping a 25% tariff on imports from Mexico and Canada and a 10% tariff on goods from China. Energy imported from Canada, including oil, natural gas, and electricity, would be taxed at 10%. Tariffs on Mexico have been paused for one month and tariffs on Canada have been paused for 30 days. Why is Trump imposing these tariffs? How will these tariffs affect American citizens and businesses? Business strategist David Olcott joined Gary to explain.

It was recently announced that Josh Kraft, a longtime nonprofit leader, and son of New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft, plans to run against incumbent mayor, Michelle Wu. Kraft has yet to make an official announcement but has filed the necessary paperwork to run for mayor of Boston. While Mayor Wu has not officially launched her re-election campaign, Kraft is her first competitor this Fall. CBS Boston political analyst Jon Keller joined Gary to discuss!

Wednesday evening, an American Airlines passenger jet collided with a U.S. Army Black Hawk helicopter sending both aircraft into the Potomac River below. There were 64 people on board the plane and three soldiers in the Army helicopter, according to DC Mayor Muriel Bowser. Officials say no survivors are expected. Six people associated with the Skating Club of Boston in Norwood were among the deceased passengers. Does a tragedy such as this make you rethink about traveling via aircraft?
