An incoming storm is shaping up to be Boston’s first big snowstorm of the season and the first major snowmaker in two years! Meteorologists say the storm is expected to hit Saturday evening into Sunday. AccuWeather says to expect 4-8 inches of snow for Boston and nearby suburbs. A new report released by Boston Public Schools reveals the school system might be undergoing a major change in the coming years where they close half of the district’s 119 schools. BPS has faced many challenges in the last decade including a 13% decline in enrollment. Dan shared his perspective on BPS’ failures and heard your take on what should be implemented in the country’s oldest public school district.

As of December 28, 2023, the amount of money spent on Massachusetts’ emergency housing assistance program for the year 2024 is $247 million. According to the first shelter report that was released a couple of weeks ago, the state plans to more than triple their spending on their shelter program in 2025 with a projection of $915 million in spending.
