The Worcester School Committee is discussing the idea of a new homework policy to cut down on the amount of homework students have. The Committee wants to make sure there is a good balance between extracurricular activities, family time, and students’ well-being. The proposal also includes “no homework days” for cultural or religious obligations that might not line up with the school’s calendar. French residents have been protesting over President Emmanuel Macron’s decision to raise the retirement age from 62 to 64 without any legislative vote. Here in the U.S. the minimum age to retire and start collecting social security benefits is 62. However, some legislators have suggested that the U.S. begin talks on changing the retirement age because Americans now have a longer life expectancy. What do you think the retirement age should be?
